Manual Handling Training (Health & Safety Course)

The Manual Handling Operations Regulations places a duty upon every employer to ensure their employees understand how to correctly handle materials/equipment in all working environments.

Manual handling operations' is interpreted as 'any transporters or supporting of a load (including the lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving thereof) by hand or by bodily force'.

This manual handling training course will raise awareness and teach specific handling techniques in line with the Manual Handling Regulations, which require employers to provide training in manual handling, injury risks and prevention thereof.

The manual handling training course will ensure that site personnel are aware of their duties of care to themselves and others in the working environment when manual handling and can utilise the correct lifting techniques.

This course is designed to help the individual understand their responsibilities within the workplace and is aimed at persons carrying out any Manual Handling.

The aim of the course is to provide training to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act.

The duration of the course will normally take half a day.
