Portable Power Tools Training (Health & Safety Course)


This course is designed to help individuals understand their responsibilities within the workplace and is aimed at persons working with Portable Power Tools.

The aim of the portable power tools training course is to provide training to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998  (PUWER)

The objective of this course is:

  • Develop the skills & knowledge to operate portable power tools safely.
  • Explain the relevant safety requirements & procedures for the safe use of portable power tools including noise.
  • Carry out suitable & sufficient Risk Assessment
  • Define Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome, describe the symptoms, state who is at risk & how the condition can be prevented. (Vibration at Work Regulation 2005)
  • Demonstrate the safe operation of identified power tools.

At the end of the training the candidate will have a understanding of:

  • Safe use of power Tools which have been nominated

The portable power tools training is carried in groups of up to 6 persons and covers upto 4 tools in one session
